Early detection of problems

Conflicting elements in a building’s design are identified during the modeling phase, preventing costly changes during construction.

Improvement in scheduling

Project elements can be sequenced more efficiently using intelligent modeling, enabling the possibility for more systematic scheduling.

Construction automation

Tasks that can be easily automated are identified by the software, leaving workers to focus on specialized tasks.

Building Information Modeling

How the BIM Process Works in Construction

Building information modeling is used for the entire lifespan of a construction project, from planning and design through construction and operation. At each stage along the way, BIM adds value for everyone involved in the project.

Building information modeling is quickly becoming one of the most important construction technology innovations because of its numerous advantages in terms of cost, safety and efficiency.

Using a model, architects and engineers can test out potential designs and identify problems immediately.

Referencing the model, contractors can make estimates in cost and timeline and make improvements to the construction process.

With the model always accessible, construction workers can clearly identify tasks and receive real-time updates about changes.

While well-designed mechanical systems provide maximum comfort, optimal indoor air quality and minimal operating costs, inefficient systems can shorten operational lifecycles and create unnecessary expenses for building owners and operators. Whether the required system is simple or complex, large or small, we strive to design and implement long-lasting systems that are both economically and environmentally friendly while remaining reliable and easy to maintain.

After construction is complete, a facilities manager has access to the model, which is essentially an improvement over as-built drawings, showing all of the building’s features and systems.

Having worked on hundreds of projects for the construction and renovation of wastewater treatment plants and other large industrial facilities, our team’s experience will ensure that adequate ventilation and odor control is provided to protect the health and safety of staff and equipment. Each industrial design we take on emphasizes serviceability and rugged equipment specifications so that each facility can be maintained with minimal interruption of service for years to come.

During the preliminary design phase, Galata Havuz M.E.P. will ensure all new power, lighting and equipment loads are balanced for all new work. We are also capable of measuring the phase balancing of existing panels and can work with a client’s electrical contractor to correct any imbalances that an electrical system may have.
